Our story

Hi, we’re Björn & Maud! Our journey started in 2019 when we met during a visit (from Björn) to the Netherlands. After lots of back-and-forth travel, we settled in Zürich, Switzerland.

Once the pandemic eased, Maud and her friends introduced Björn to a bar in the Netherlands called Mooie Boules, where we played Jeu de Boules while enjoying drinks. It was so much fun, we realized there was nothing like it in Zürich, or anywhere in Switzerland! We dreamed of creating something similar, but starting a business in Switzerland proved tricky—high rents and limited startup support made it a tough challenge.

But Björn had an idea: instead of opening a fixed location, why not bring the fun to people? So, we created mobile Jeu de Boules courts, bringing the game to any event while keeping costs down. And that’s how HappyBoules was born— easy enough to carry, lots of fun to play
